"they HAD SOMETHING I DIDN'T...AND I WANTED TO BE A pART OF IT."
"I was a complete loser. A jerk. I used women, drugs and lived a life of pure selfishness. Not that I was always a bad guy, I just fell in with the wrong crowd and everything snowballed from there. After I had an experience with the Lord Jesus and went to Confession, after 13 years away, I felt great and was excited to start on my new path BUT there was the problem of old habits dying hard...especially when my only friends enjoyed the same activities I was trying to distance myself from now.
I didn't come to a meeting to meet friends. Truthfully I figured all the guys in the "Men's group" were probably dorks who didn't have anything better to do. Man, was I wrong. These guys are the real deal. I got along so well with them. They were not "Holier than thou" or in your face. They knew how to have a "normal" conversation, that made me warm up quick. I saw that these guys were ordinary guys with a touch of the extraordinary. These guys knew something I didn't, they had something I didn't. They had a friendship based in faith, they shared a common adventure, their lives were intertwined in the church and there was this tangible bond between them. It was amazing. It was really very cool, and I wanted to be a part of it. "

"Whatever your doing...COUNT ME IN!"
"From the first meeting I attended, I knew I needed to be involved in this group. There was just something amazing about 30 guys sitting in front of the Blessed Sacrament praying Evening Prayer together. I went right up to Fr. Charles and told him straight, "Whatever it is you are starting here, I want in." This group has been the best thing that has happened to me. Because of my involvement in the group I have answered the call to become a Lector and a Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. This group is, without a doubt, everything I need as a catholic man."
